Abstract:Objective To evaluate the application effect of integrated Chinese and Western medicine nursing pathway in the green channel of acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Methods From February 2017 to March 2019, 252 patients with acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding admitted to the Department of Emergency, Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine and entered the green channel were selected as subjects. The patients were divided into observation group (127 cases) and control group (125 cases) according to the sequence of medical treatment. The control group adopted the conventional emergency green channel nursing process for first aid nursing, while the observation group adopted the pre-constructed clinical nursing path of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine for first aid nursing. The duration of emergency outpatient service, expenses of emergency outpatient service, utilization rate of traditional Chinese medicine nursing technology were compared between the two groups. Results The duration of emergency outpatient servcce in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The expenses of emergency outpatient service in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The utilization rate of traditional Chinese medicine nursing technology in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The implementation of integrated Chinese and Western medicine clinical nursing pathway in the emergency green channel can effectively shorten the duration of emergency outpatient service for patients with acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding and reduce the expenses of emergency outpatient service. It also improves the efficiency of the green channel and is beneficial to the use and popularization of traditional Chinese medicine treatment and nursing technology.
