Abstract:In the omnimedia era, how to effectively carry out public opinion management has become a crucial task for a hospital. Especially when faced with emergent events of public health, the sensitivity, response, communication, guidance as well as credibility shown by the propaganda and public opinion system of a hospital will play a decisive role. In recent years, when it comes to emergent events of public health, as a regional medical center, Shanghai Pudong New Area Gongli Hospital has fully integrated all administrative departments including information, publicity, outpatient service, etc. with some clinical departments. Thanks to the internet plus, it has innovated a set of effective responding methods in propaganda and public opinion issues and has achieved good results by properly guiding the public opinion, promoting positive energy, establishing network platform and exploring the embryonic form of internet hospital with all-appointment outpatient service, which has also offered a valuable reference for the propaganda and public opinion system of healthcare industry in using internet to deal with emergent events of public health.
