Abstract:Adenoid hypertrophy is a common clinical disease, especially in children. In the past, the diagnosis was mainly based on nasal endoscopy, electronic nasopharyngoscope and X-ray. However, because of the problems of trauma and radiation, it is rejected by the families of children, the diagnosis, treatment and scientific research of the disease are limited. In recent years, with the continuous update and development of inspection methods, the means of diagnosis and detection of adenoid hypertrophy have shown a trend of diversification, providing more choices for clinical and scientific research. This paper reviews the literature in recent years, focusing on the current clinical and scientific research commonly used adenoid examination methods, including images, endoscopy, polysomnography, blood test, etc, and according to the conclusions of relevant literature, the advantages and disadvantages of these examination methods are evaluates, hoping to provide reference for otolaryngologists to diagnose and detect these diseases.
