Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical curative effect of digital acupoint pressure therapy in the treatment of cervical vertigo. Methods From July 2013 to September 2016, 72 cases of cervical vertigo were selected, which were treated in Massage Department, the People′s Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. They were divided into treatment group and control group by random number table, with 31 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with digital acupoint pressure therapy, while the control group was treated with general massage therapy, both groups were treated once a day and treated 10 times. The curative effects and the scores of cervical vertigo symptom and functional assessment scale in the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the curative effect in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the score of cervical vertigo and functional assessment scale between the two groups (P > 0.05). After treatment, the scores in the two groups were increased, and the score in the treatment group were significantly higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion It is effective for the patients with cervical vertigo through the digital acupoint pressure therapy and general massage therapy, while the digital acupoint pressure is better than the massage therapy.
