Abstract:Objective To study the relationship between serum uric acid (BUA) level and 24 hours blood pressure variability of hypertension patients in Jiaodong Community of Dongcheng District in Beijing, and find out its clinical significance. Methods The data of 126 hypertensive patients including levels of BUA, blood lipid, blood glucose in Jiaodong Community from January 2015 to December 2016 were collected and analyzed retrospectively. Patients were divided into 3 groups according to BUA levels: group A with 44 cases (BUA:250-<350 μmol/L), group B with 42 cases (BUA:350-<450 μmol/L), group C with 40 cases (BUA:450-550 μmol/L). The relationship between BUA and blood pressure variability was analyzed by Pearson analysis. Results The 24 h SCV, dSCV and nSCV were compared among the three groups, which in the group C were higher than those of group B and group A, which in the group B were higher than those of group A (all P < 0.05); but there were no statistically significant differences in 24 h DCV, dDCV and nDCV among the three groups (P > 0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that SCV, dSCV and nSCV were positively correlated with BUA (P < 0.05). Conclusion In community, the hypertension patients′ BUA levels have correlated with systolic blood pressure variability, which can be taken as a reference index for prompting the target organ damage in the patients.
