Abstract:FODMAP diet means diet includes lysates of oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides and polyols. Rapid fermentability and poor absorption, increased production of intestinal gas and intestinal expansion are the same characters among them. Many studies have found that low FODMAP diet could improve abdominal pain and distention, as well as other gastrointestinal symptoms significantly. This paper mainly discusses the relationship between low FODMAP diet and TCM diet therapy, and the important role of physique in the digestive symptoms caused by FODMAP diet. It is suggested that through the prevention and conditioning of TCM diet, individuals can gradually get rid of the taboo of low FODMAP diet, which is of positive significance for improving the quality of life.
