Abstract：With the increasing pressure of providing for the aged, the existing old-age pension model can not meet the needs of the elderly, so it is imperative to innovate and develop the old-age pension model combined with medical care. This paper analyzes the current situation of medical care and old-age care in rural areas, and the related research results at home and abroad. In order to further understand the operation of the mode of medical support and pension in the vast rural areas. From the perspective of strengthening government responsibilities, strengthening legislation, formulating old-age norms according to local conditions, and changing traditional old-age concepts, we can solve some problems existing in the current old-age pension model of combining medical care with maintenance.
