Abstract：To explore the nature of adverse events, clarify the connotation, extension and related concepts of adverse events so as to provide theoretical support for the management. Adverse events and their related concepts were systematically combed, the attributes were clarified and the differences and connections between adverse events and adverse reaction were discussed through literature review, expert interview and Delphi′s method. Structure chart were used to present the logical relationships among the related concepts. The study has enriched the basic adverse events theories.
