Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of Roy adaptation model (RAM) in knee replacement patients. Methods A total of 100 patients with knee replacement in Jishuitan Hospital from January 2021 to February 2022 were included and grouped by random number table method. Control group (50 cases) received routine nursing, RAM group (50 cases) received RAM intervention based on routine nursing. The mental toughness, functional exercise compliance, and knee joint function of the two groups were observed. Results After intervention, the scores of fortitude, strength and optimism in two groups were higher than before intervention, and those of RAM group were higher than those of control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of psychological compliance, active learning compliance and physical compliance in the two groups were higher than before intervention, and those of the RAM group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After intervention, the score of American Knee Society score in both groups was higher than before intervention, and those of the RAM group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion RAM intervention mode can help improve mental toughness and compliance of functional exercise, and promote functional recovery of knee joint after knee replacement.
