Analysis of hot spots and frontiers of thoracolumbar fracture treatment and rehabilitation based on CiteSpace

Abstract:Objective To analyze research trends in thoracolumbar fracture treatment and rehabilitation over the last 20 years. Methods Literature on thoracolumbar fracture treatment and rehabilitation in the core databases of CNKI, Wanfang data, VIP, and Web of Science from January 2002 to December 2022 was searched, and CiteSpace software was used to map, author, institution, and keywords. Results A total of 1 125 Chinese and 547 English literatures were included. The author with the highest number of Chinese papers was Xu Jianwen, and the institution with the highest number of Chinese papers was Yuxi People’s Hospital of Yunnan Province. Gelu Onose was the author with the highest number of international publications, and Harvard University was the highest number of publications; domestic and international high-frequency keywords were thoracolumbar fracture, rehabilitation, surgical treatment; the highest domestic outburst intensity was lumbar compression fracture, and the highest international outburst intensity was spinal cord injury. Conclusion Domestic and international research focus on determining the clear indication of surgical treatment and postoperative rehabilitation and nursing. Domestic research focuses on personalized surgical programs and rehabilitation nursing means, while international research focuses on the basis of thoracolumbar fracture.
