Abstract:Objective To construct a personalized nutrition management system for patients undergoing head and neck cancer surgery based on the network platform, and to discuss its application effect. Methods A research group on personalized nutrition management system based on internet platform for patients undergoing head and neck cancer surgery were established, and a personalized nutrition management system based on internet platform for patients undergoing head and neck cancer surgery was built. A total of 91 patients undergoing head and neck cancer surgery in Li Huili Hospital of Ningbo Medical Center, Zhejiang Province from May 2020 to August 2022 were prospectively included as the study objects. They were divided into control group (45 cases) and observation group (46 cases) by random number table method. The control group was treated with routine nursing intervention, and the observation group was treated with individualized nutrition management system based on the network platform. Swallowing function (assessed by the Chinese version of dysphagia index scale [DHI]), anthropometric indicators, nutritional indicators (albumin [ALB], prealbumin [PA]), and sleep quality (assessed by the Pittsburgh sleep quality index scale [PSQI]) of the two groups before and after intervention were compared. Results After intervention, the total DHI score of the two groups was lower than that before intervention, and those of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). Weight and body fat percentage in the two groups were higher than that before intervention, and observation group was higher than those of control group (P<0.05). Serum ALB and PA in the two groups were higher than that before intervention, and those of observation group were higher than those of control group (P<0.05). The PSQI scores of both groups were lower than that before intervention, and the observation group was lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The constructed personalized nutrition management system for patients undergoing head and neck cancer surgery based on the network platform can effectively improve the swallowing function and nutritional status of patients undergoing head and neck cancer surgery, and has a positive impact on the sleep quality of patients.
