Abstract:Objective To analyze the relationship between physical activity and sexual function in infertile women. Methods A total of 1 040 infertile women who visited the Reproductive Center of Ma anshan Maternal and Child Health Hospital in Anhui Province, and the Reproductive Medicine Center, the 901th Hospital of the Joint Logistics Support Force of Chinese People’s Liberation Army from December 2020 to March 2022 were included in the study. Their physical activity level and sexual function status were evaluated using the international physical activity questionnaire short form (IPAQ-SF) and the female sexual function index (FSFI), respectively. The relationship between physical activity levels and sexual function were evaluated using the univariate ANOVA analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Results The age of 1 040 infertile women was (31.47±5.41) years. The results of single factor analysis showed that the total FSFI score of infertile women with different marital status and smoking had statistical significance (P<0.05). The scores of sexual desire, sexual excitement, and FSFI score of infertile women with different levels of physical activity had statistical significance (P<0.05). The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that after controlling for marital status and smoking, physical activity level was the influential factor of libido, sexual excitement scores and FSFI score (P<0.05). Conclusion There is a positive correlation between the level of physical activity and the sexual function of infertile women. It is recommended that infertile women improve their physical activity levels to improve their sexual function.
