Abstract:Objective To analyze the relationship between self-acceptance and family closeness and adaptability in patients with cervical cancer after total hysterectomy. Methods A total of 100 patients with cervical cancer who underwent total hysterectomy in the No.900 Hospital of Joint Logistics Support Force of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army from January 2021 to August 2022 were selected as study object by convenience sampling method. Self-acceptance questionnaire (SAQ) and the Chinese version of family closeness and adaptability scale (FACES Ⅱ-CV) were used for questionnaire investigation. The correlation between self-acceptance and family closeness and adaptability of cervical cancer patients after total hysterectomy was analyzed. Results The total score of self-acceptance was (49.77±3.06) points, and the total score of family closeness and adaptability was (112.17±12.47) points. There were significant differences in SAQ and FACES-Ⅱ scores among patients with different education level, clinical stage, monthly income, types of underlying diseases, and places of residence (P<0.05). Pearson correlation showed that SAQ was positively correlated with FACES-Ⅱ after total hysterectomy (r>0, P<0.05). Conclusion There is a positive correlation between self-acceptance and family intimacy and adaptability in patients with cervical cancer after total hysterectomy, that is, the higher the level of self-acceptance, the higher the level of family intimacy and adaptability.
