Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of intermittent oral tube feeding combined with oral ice stimulation in patients with dysphagia after stroke. Methods A total of 100 stroke patients with dysphagia admitted to the Nanjing Medical University Affiliated Brain Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected, they were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group received conventional oral care and nasal feeding tube, and the observation group received conventional oral care and intermittent oral tube feeding combined with oral ice stimulation intervention. The swallowing function and quality of life of the two groups were observed before intervention and one month after intervention. Results After intervention, the modified Mann swallowing ability scale scores of both groups were higher than those before intervention, and the observation group was higher than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); after intervention, the volume-viscosity swallowing test food volume viscosity grading in the observation group was better than that in the control group, and the damage rate of safety and effectiveness was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); after intervention, the quality of life scale scores of patients with swallowing disorder in both groups were lower than those before intervention, and the observation group was lower than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The intermittent oral gavage combined with ice stimulation oral intervention can improve swallowing function and quality of life in stroke patients with swallowing disorders.
