Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of Fuzheng Qufeng Decoction on the treatment of chronic urticaria (CU) with qi deficiency type and its influence on C-reactive protein (CRP), serum amyloid A (SAA), and D-dimer (D-D) levels. Methods A total of 98 CU patients with qi deficiency type admitted to Guilin Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number table method, with 49 cases in each group. The control group received Loratadine Tablets and Vitamin C Tablets, and the observation group received Fuzheng Qufeng Decoction, all treated continuously for 14 d. The clinical efficacy, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, 7-day Urticaria Activity Decoction (UAS7), chronic urticaria quality of life questionnaire (GU-Q2oL), and levels of CRP, SAA, and D-D were compared between two groups before and after treatment. Results The clinical efficacy of the observation group was better than that of the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, UAS7, and GU-Q2oL scores of the two groups were lower than before treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the plasma levels of CRP, SAA and D-D in both groups were lower than before treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion Fuzheng Qufeng Decoction has a definite therapeutic effect on CU of qi deficiency type, and can effectively improve skin lesions and itching symptoms. Its mechanism may be related to regulating inflammation and coagulation factor levels.
