Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of health literacy intervention based on knowledge attitude belief practice (KABP) model in hemodialysis patients. Methods A total of 90 hemodialysis patients admitted to Anhui Medical University Affiliated Chaohu Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected, they were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 45 cases in each group. The control group received routine health education, and the observation group received health literacy intervention based on KABP theory. After three months of intervention, the levels of health literacy, disease uncertainty, exercise self-efficacy and self-management ability of the two groups were observed. Results After intervention, the scores of health literacy, exercise self-efficacy (ESE) scale and self-management scale of the two groups were higher than before intervention, the scores of Mishel disease uncertainty (MUIS) scale were lower than before intervention, and the scores of health literacy, ESE scale and self-management scale of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, the score of MUIS was lower than that of control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Health literacy intervention based on KABP theory can improve health literacy, disease uncertainty, exercise self-efficacy, and self-management ability of hemodialysis patients.
