Abstract:Objective To analysis the effect of hospital pharmacy management intervention on rational use of clinical traditional Chinese medicine injections and prescription qualification rate. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 1 572 traditional Chinese medicine injection prescriptions in Jingjiang People’s Hospital of Jiangsu Province from January 2019 to June 2020 that did not use pharmacy management intervention and 1 283 traditional Chinese medicine injection prescriptions from January 2021 to June 2022 that used pharmacy management intervention. The sales amount, usage quantity, sequencing ratio, defined daily dose cost (DDDC), defined daily dose (DDDs), and prescription qualification rate of traditional Chinese medicine injections before and after intervention were compared. Results After intervention, the sales amount, usage quantity, and DDDs of traditional Chinese medicine injections were lower than those before intervention; DDDC and sequencing ratio≥1 were higher than those before intervention. The prescription qualification rate of traditional Chinese medicine injections after intervention was higher than that before intervention (P<0.05). Conclusion Hospital pharmacy management intervention can reduce the sales amount and usage quantity of clinical traditional Chinese medicine injections, improve the prescriptions qualification rate, and promote clinical rational drug use.
