Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of symmetrical weight-bearing sit-stand transfer training on sit-stand transfer stability and gait symmetry in post-stroke hemiplegia patients. Methods A total of 101 patients with post-stroke hemiplegia admitted to Huaian First People’s Hospital from February 2019 to February 2022 were selected, and they were divided into control group (50 cases) and study group (51 cases) according to the random number table method. The control group received conventional bipedal parallel sit-stand transfer training, and study group received symmetrical weight-bearing sit-stand transfer training. Both groups continued training for four weeks. Breg balance scale (BBS), stroke quality of life scale (QOF), modified Barthel index scale (MBI), step size deviation, the ratio of swing between sick and healthy sides, the ratio of support between healthy and sick sides before and after training were compared between two groups; the maximum swing of the body’s center of gravity on the sagittal plane (COGX), the time from standing to sitting, and the time from sitting to standing were compared between two groups after training. Results After training, the BBS score, QOF score, and MBI score of two groups were higher than those before training, and study group was higher than control group (P<0.05); the ratio of swing between sick and healthy sides, the ratio of support between healthy and sick side, and step size deviation of two groups were lower than those before training, and study group was lower than control group (P<0.05). COGX of study group was higher than that of control group, and the time from standing to sitting and the time from sitting to standing were shorter than those of control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Symmetrical weight-bearing sit-stand transfer training can improve the balance ability, quality of life, self-care ability, sit-stand transfer stability, and gait symmetry of post-stroke hemiplegia patients, and can shorten the sit-stand transfer time.
