Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of personalized comprehensive care on elderly patients with frailty and swallowing disorders. Methods A total of 96 elderly patients with frailty and swallowing disorders who were treated in the Chinese People’s Liberation Army General Hospital from June 2016 to December 2020 were selected, they were divided into control group and experimental group by random number table method, with 48 cases in each group. The control group received routine care for dysphagia, and the experimental group received individualized comprehensive care. The recovery of dysphagia (Kutoba drinking water test), the incidence of complications (aspiration pneumonia) and body mass index were observed. Results The improvement of swallowing function in experimental group was better than that in control group (P<0.05), the complication rate of experimental group was lower than that of control group (P<0.05), the body mass index of experimental group was higher than that before intervention and the control group ( P<0.05). Conclusion For patients with dysphagia complicated with senile as asthenia, giving the best care for the symptoms, personalized formulation of chewing muscle exercise, whole body muscle exercise program, management of multiple drugs and nutritional care can effectively improve the swallowing function and nutritional status of patients, reduce the incidence of aspiration pneumonia, and help patients recover in the future.
