Abstract:Objective To discuss the hotspots and trends of atrial fibrillation(AF) and electrical remodeling based on CiteSpace and VOSviewer. Methods The literatures on AF and electrical remodeling were searched from the Web of Science database From January 2004 to December 2021, CiteSpace 5.8.R3 and VOSviewer 1.6.16 were used to draw visual maps of countries, institutions, authors, and keywords. Results A total of 1 178 articles were included, and the number of published articles was on the rise. The most productive country was the United States, the University of Montreal was the most influential scientific research institution, and Nattle S was the most prolific author. Atrial remodeling, electrical remodeling, mechanism, risk, and so on were the high frequency and medium central keywords in this field. Fibrosis was the key word with the strongest burst intensity. Conclusion The research interest in the field of AF and electrical remodeling continues to rise. The main research focuses on the mechanism of electrical remodeling, the change of ion channels, the treatment of AF and the prevention of risk factors. Fibrosis is the trend of future research.
