Abstract：Medical education is an important part of the whole education system, and also a bridge linking the strategy of “education first development” and the strategy of “healthy China”. The proposal of new medical science reflects the new requirements of the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics for the training of talents in higher medical education. The construction of new medical science will greatly improve the humanistic quality of medical students. However, at present, medical colleges and universities lack effective recognition of the rich connotation of new medical science, and lack consensus understanding of the status and significance of medical humanistic education in the construction of new medical science, which leads to the slow pace and poor construction results of new medical science. This article will start from the background and rich connotation of new medical science, this article will analyze the currentt situation and value implication of medical humanistic education. On this basis, it will propose a realistic path to strengthen medical humanistic education under the background of new medical science.
