Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of health education based on mind map in patients undergoing thoracoscopic pulmonary nodule resection. Methods A total of 80 patients with thoracoscopic pulmonary nodule resection admitted to Mingguang People’s Hospital of Anhui Province from March 2020 to June 2022 were selected. According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given routine health education, and the observation group was given health education based on mind map. The self-efficacy, active cough ability, lung function, and postoperative rehabilitation process were observed in the two groups. Results One month after operation, the general self-efficacy scale score and levels of forced vital capacity, forced expiratory volume in one second, and forced expiratory volume in one second/forced vital capacity ratio in the two groups were higher than those on admission, and those of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). One day after operation, the classification of active cough ability in the observation group was better than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The first anal exhaust time, the first defecation time, and hospitalization time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Health education based on mind map can improve the self-efficacy, active cough ability and lung function of patients undergoing thoracoscopic pulmonary nodule resection, and can shorten their rehabilitation process.
