Abstract:Objective To explore the application analysis of initial comprehensive intervention on feeding and growth status of low body weight children with feeding intolerance. Methods A total of 78 children with low body weight were selected from the Rugao of People’s Hospital, Jiangsu Province from April 2018 to March 2022. They were divided into two groups according to random number table method, with 39 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine feeding nursing, while the observation group was treated with early and initial comprehensive intervention on the basis of the control group. The feeding intolerance time, the time needed to recover to birth weight, the time to achieve sufficient gastrointestinal feeding and the growth status of the two groups were compared. Results The duration of feeding intolerance, recovery of birth weight, and adequate gastrointestinal feeding in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The disappearance time of vomiting, diarrhea and gastric retention in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After intervention, the body weight, body length, and head circumference of the two groups were higher than before intervention, while those of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Early comprehensive intervention nursing for low body weight infants with feeding intolerance can effectively improve the absorption of gastrointestinal function, reduce the time of occurrence of feeding intolerance, quickly recover to birth weight, and promote the growth of children, worthy of clinical promotion and adoption.
