Abstract:Objective To analyze the application effect of Newman system nursing in patients with carotid artery stenosis after stent implantation. Methods A total of 120 patients with carotid artery stenosis admitted to Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University from March 2021 to May 2022 were selected. According to random number table method, they were divided into control group and experimental group, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the experimental group was given Newman system nursing. The psychological status, self-management ability, sleep quality, and medication compliance of the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, self-rating anxiety scale and self-rating depression scale scores of both groups were lower than those before intervention, and the experimental group was lower than the control group (P<0.05); Pittsburgh sleep quality index scores in both groups were lower than those before intervention, and the experimental group was lower than the control group(P<0.05); the self-care ability score of the two groups was higher than those before intervention, and the experimental group was higher than the control group (P<0.05); the compliance of experimental group was better than that of control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Newman system nursing can relieve the negative emotion of patients after carotid artery stenosis stent implantation, improve the self-care ability, sleep quality and medication compliance of patients.
