Abstract:Objective To explore the risk factors of complications in patients undergoing laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery. Methods A total of 292 patients with colorectal cancer who underwent laparoscopic surgery admitted to Changhai Hospital Affiliated to Naval Medical University were selected from June to December 2021. The clinical data including gender, age, type of underlying disease, TNM stage, previous abdominal surgery history, surgery time, intraoperative blood loss, and conversion to laparotomy were collected, the occurrence of complications were recorded. Patients were divided into occurrence group and non-occurrence group according to whether complications occurred, and the risk factors of postoperative complications were analyzed. Results Complications occurred in 57 of 292 patients, with pulmonary infection being the most common. There were statistically significant differences in the proportion of pulmonary disease, surgery time, intraoperative blood loss, and the proportion of preoperative antibiotic use between two groups (P<0.05). Pulmonary disease (OR=2.587), surgery time ≥180 min (OR=2.417), intraoperative blood loss ≥200 ml (OR=2.873) were risk factors for postoperative complications in patients underwent laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery(P<0.05); preoperative antibiotic use (OR= 0.722) was a protective factor for postoperative complications in patients underwent laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery (P<0.05). Conclusion Pulmonary disease, intraoperative blood loss, operative time, and preoperative antibiotic use are the factors affecting postoperative complications in patients with colorectal cancer surgery, perioperative nursing and complication prevention and observation should be done well in clinic.
