Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of photon therapy apparatus combined with alginate powder on wound healing after hemorrhoidal surgery. Methods Eighty patients with emorrhoids who underwent surgery in Jiangning Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University from February to September 2020 were selected as the study subjects, they were divided into control group and study group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The patients in control group were treated with photon therapy apparatus, and the patients in study group were treated with photon therapy apparatus combined with alginate powder. The clinical efficacy between two groups were compared; the time of wound improvement, disappearance time of anal edema, disappearance time of bleeding, and disappearance time of exudation between two groups were compared; the inflammatory indexes (interleukin-8 [IL-8], tumor necrosis factor-α [TNF-α], and transforming growth factor-β1[TGF-β1]) were compared between two groups before and after treatment; visual analog scale (VAS) scores were compared between two groups at one day before treatment and one, two weeks, and four weeks after treatment. Results The clinical efficacy of study group was better than that of control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The time of wound improvement, disappearance time of anal edema, disappearance time of bleeding, and disappearance time of exudation in study group were shorter than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of IL-8, TNF-α, and TGF-β1 in two groups were lower than those before treatment, and study group was lower than control group, and the differences were sta- tistically significant (P<0.05). Pairwise comparison between the two groups at different time points showed statistically significant difference (P<0.05); after one, two weeks, and four weeks of treatment, VAS scores of study group were lower than those of control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The application value of photon therapy apparatus combined with alginate powder in postoperative rehabilitation of hemorrhoids patients is high, which can improve the wound healing speed, reduce the level of inflammatory syndrome factors, relieve pain, and can be widely promoted and applied in clinical practice.
