Abstract:Objective To summarize and analyze the occurrence of adverse drug reactions (ADR) caused by children with Yanhuning for injection in Hunan Children’s Hospital(“our hospital” for short), and to promote the safe and rational use of drugs in children’s clinics. Methods A retrospective analysis method was used to statistically analyze 132 reports of ADR that occurred after treatment with Yanhuning for injection in our hospital from January 2006 to December 2020, as well as to analyze the root causes of ADR in combination with fishbone diagrams and to evaluate the rationality of drug use. Results ADR of 132 cases caused by Yanhuning for injection occurred mainly in infants and children aged 0-3 years; the most important clinical manifestations were skin and adnexal damage; 12 cases (9.09%) were severe ADR. the occurrence of ADR was related to super-indication, super-therapeutic dosing, intravenous drug concentration and drip rate, and patients’ own factors. Conclusion The clinic should strengthen the clinical rational use of Yanhunin for injection, timely monitoring and intervention to reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions and improve the safety of drug use in children.
