Abstract:In this paper, the principles, advantages and disadvantages, current situation and prospects of near infrared spectroscopy in the study of neurocognitive disorders in the brain are reviewed. The principle is to use the optical properties of near infrared spectrum to measure the neuronal activity of the brain, so as to determine the location of brain neurocognitive disorders. It has the advantages of portability, noise-free and high ecological validity. The main research site is located in the prefrontal cortex and the whole brain. The results show that the results of functional near-infrared spectrum signals in the study of neurocognitive disorders in the brain are consistent with the results of traditional neuroimaging techniques (such as functional magnetic resonance imaging), namely, age has a negative effect on brain function in general, and neurocognitive disorders occur mainly in the prefrontal cortex. At present, there are still some shortcomings in the research of functional near infrared spectroscopy. It can be combined with other technologies to improve the temporal and spatial resolution, so as to study neurocognitive disorders of the brain in a more systematic, comprehensive and accurate way.
