Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of preventive nursing on postoperative recovery, surgical site infection, and satisfaction in patients with percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). Methods A total of 98 patients with PCNL admitted to the Department of Urology in Fuyang People’s Hospital of Anhui Province from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected, and they were divided into observation group and control group, with 49 cases in each group. Control group received routine nursing, observation group received preventive nursing. The postoperative recovery, surgical site infection rate, and nursing satisfaction rate were compared. Results The surgical site infection rate in observation group was lower than that in control group (P＜0.05); operation time, hospital stay, and bed time of observation group were shorter than those of control group (P＜0.05); nursing satisfaction of observation group was better than that of control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion Preventive nursing intervention can effectively promote the postoperative recovery of patients with PCNL, reduce the surgical site infection, patient satisfaction is high, and has a high value.
