Abstract:Cough variant asthma is the leading cause of chronic cough in children in China, and its incidence is increasing year by year, causing great disturbance to children’s growth and development as well as social activities. This article summarizes Professor Wang Youpeng’s treatment thoughts and medication experience in the treatment of cough variant asthma in children in cold areas. Professor Wang believes that cough variant asthma in children in cold areas can be treated from dampness pathogen. There are three main ideas: one is to expel wind, expel dampness pathogen, and promote lung qi, the second is to activate the spleen, which cut off the source of phlegm, and the third is to use the method of elimination of pathogens through purgation and dieresis, and spread the qi mechanism to decompose dampness and heat. In clinical treatment, the method of elimination of pathogens through purgation and dieresis is often used to reconcile bias, guide the evil according to the situation to find a way out, remove the dampness, there is no phlegm, and the heat is self isolated. This article in order to broaden new ideas for the clinical traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment of cough variant asthma.
