Abstract:To analyze the changes of biomechanical parameters about patients with low to moderate myopia after refractive surgery and discuss the safety and efficacy of refractive surgery with corneal visualization scheimpflug technology (Corvis ST) from the perspective of corneal biomechanical. Methods A total of 100 eyes from 100 patients with low to moderate myopia treated in Myopia laser center, the Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University from March 2015 to October 2016 were selected randomly. According to operation method, the patients were divided into two groups, patients performed Sub-Bowman-Keratomileusis enrolled in SBK group and patients performed laser-assisted in situ keratectomy enrolled in LASIK group, with 50 patients in each group. And preoperative examination was performed and corneal biomechanics were tested by Corvis ST. Intraocular pressure (IOP), central corneal thickness (CCT), the first applanation time (A-time1) and deformation amplitude (DA) were observed in the two groups before and after operation and 1 month post-operation. Results Compared with pro-operation, patients in the two groups had significantly lower IOP, CCT and A-time1 after operation (P < 0.05); but no significant difference was detected in DA before and after operation (P > 0.05). Corneal biomechanics in the two groups before treatment have no difference (P > 0.05); there were no significant differences in IOP, CCT and DA between SBK and LASIK group 1 month after operation (P > 0.05); but A-time1 was higher in SBK group than that in LASIK group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion There are differences in IOP, CCT and A-time1 between pro-operation and post-operation, but DA is not altered. From the perspective biomechanical parameters, SBK has higher A-time1 than LASIK. The changes of biomechanical parameters after refractive surgery should be studied and discussed in further study.
