Abstract:Objective To visualize and analyze the literature related to breast cancer combined with anxiety and depression by CiteSpace software, to explore the development history and research hotspots in this field for more than 30 years, and to provide reference for future research directions. Methods The relevant literature collected on China National Knowledge Internel from January 1989 to May 2022 was searched, the search results were screened and data cleaned according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and the final valid literature was analyzed using CiteSpace 6.1.R2 for author and institutional collaboration networks and keyword co-occurrence, clustering, timeline graphs, and emergent terms to draw a knowledge graph. Results A total of 3 568 papers were included, involving 3 234 authors and 2 912 institutions. Overall, the number of annual publications had been steadily increasing; the collaborative network of authors represented by Wang Jing, Li Na and Wang Bei was large, and no core team had been formed in China; the research institutions were concentrated in traditional Chinese medicine universities and their affiliated hospitals, and the inter-institutional collaboration was relatively scattered. High-frequency keywords include quality of life, psychological interventions, etc. The number of traditional Chinese medicine studies was still small. The keywords formed 14 clusters regarding study indicators, interventions, causes, and concomitant symptoms. A total of 16 emergent words, psychological research began earlier, and quality of life, social support, and sleep quality were currently emerging research hotspots. Conclusion Research in the field of breast cancer combined with anxiety and depression is heating up, cooperation among different teams and institutions needs to be strengthened, and Chinese medicine treatment needs to be further explored.
