Abstract:The incidence of insomnia in modern society is getting higher. Professor Yao Naili summarizes the experience of predecessors and his own clinical practice, believing that the overall pathogenesis of insomnia is the imbalance of yin and yang, and yang does not enter yin, the pathological factors are mainly attributed to hot, phlegm, blood stasis, and food accumulation. The pathogens block the body, the transportation of yin and yang is blocked, and the patients suffer from insomnia. Professor Yao Naili advocates the “unblocking the road” approach to insomnia. In the treatment of clinical syndrome, clearing heat and removing fire, reducing phlegm and turbidity, promoting blood circulation, and removing blood stasis, eliminating food to dispel pathological factors, smooth the road of yin and yang. This article summarizes professor Yao Naili’s experience in treating insomnia for clinical reference.
