Suggestion on improving the standardized training for geriatric specialists

Abstract:With the increasingly serious problem of population aging, the management of chronic diseases in the elderly is of great significance. At present, there is a shortage of geriatric specialists in China. The standardized training of geriatric specialists can not only meet the basic medical needs of the current aging society, but also adapt to the development plan of the modern chemistry department of geriatric medicine. At present, there is still a gap between the development of geriatrics in China and the advanced countries in the world. Therefore, the standardized training of geriatric medical specialists is particularly important. It should focus on strengthening the training of theoretical knowledge of geriatrics and standardizing the use of comprehensive evaluation methods, paying attention to multidisciplinary team cooperation and improving the cognitive level of palliative medical concept, promoting the establishment of scientific research thinking, improving the ability of crisis management in response to public health emergencies, paying attention to the cultivation of core literacy and improving the establishment of training and assessment system and so on, can improve the training effect.
