Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of Orff music therapy combined with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Methods A total of 80 children with ASD who were admitted to Hunan Children’s Hospital from May to August 2021 were selected as the research objects, they were divided into control group (40 cases) and treatment group (40 cases) by random number table method. The control group received repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, and treatment group received Orff music therapy on the basis of control group. The autism treatment evaluation checklist scale (ATEC), children’s autism behavior checklist scale (ABC), and vestibular function scores were compared between two groups before and after treatment, the total occurrence of adverse reactions during treatment was observed in two groups. Results After treatment, the ATEC and ABC scores of two groups were decreased than those before treatment, vestibular function scores of two groups were increased than those before treatment; and the ATEC and ABC scores of treatment group were lower than those of control group, the vestibular function score was higher than that of control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Orff music therapy combined with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation in the treatment of children with ASD is effective, can improve the clinical symptoms of children, and improve the state of comprehensive sensory disorders, and it is safe and reliable.
