Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of upper limb robot combined with scalp acupuncture on upper limb motor function after stroke. Methods From December 2020 to July 2021, 60 stroke patients who were hospitalized in the First Department of Acupuncture Rehabilitation, the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Chinese Medicine were selected, they were divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with scalp acupuncture, and the observation group was given upper limb robot training on the basis of control group, treatment for three weeks. Fugl-meyer assessment (FMA), modified Barthel index (MBI), and active angle repositioning (AAR) before and after treatment were compared between two groups. Results After treatment, the scores of FMA and MBI in both groups were higher than those before treatment, and those of observation group were higher than those of control group (P<0.05). AAR scores of 30° and 60° shoulder flexion in two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those of observation group were lower than those of control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Upper limb robot combined with scalp acupuncture can significantly improve the upper limb motor function and the ability of daily living activities of stroke patient.
