[Abstract] Objective To explore the clinical effect of standardized pain assessment intervention in patients with advanced rectal cancer pain. Methods A total of sixty patients with advanced rectal cancer pain admitted to the First People’s Hospital, Hunan Province from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected. The patients were divided into reference group and intervention group by random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received routine rehabilitation nursing, and the intervention group received intervention based on standardized pain assessment. Pain relief and sleep disorder improvement were observed in the two groups. Results After intervention, the scores of the simplified McGill pain questionnaire, Hamilton anxiety scale, Hamilton depression scale in both groups were lower than before intervention, and those of the intervention group were lower than those of the reference group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05); all scores of Pittsburgh sleep quality index were lower than before intervention, and those of the intervention group were lower than those of the reference group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05); the total nursing satisfaction in the intervention group was better than that in the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Intervention based on standardized pain assessment can significantly reduce pain and improve sleep disturbance and satisfaction in patients with advanced rectal cancer.
