Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of nape cluster needling combined with surface electromyography biofeedback in the treatment of dysphagia after stroke. Methods A total of 82 patients with dysphagia after stroke admitted to Nanjing Tongren Hospital from October 2019 to October 2021 were selected and divided into control group (41 cases, surface electromyography biofeedback therapy) and nape cluster needling group (41 cases, nape cluster needling combined with surface electromyography biofeedback therapy) by random number table method. The patients were treated for a total of 28 days. The Kubota drinking water test grade, swallowing function score, and quality of life score of the two groups were counted before and after treatment, and the efficacy and safety of the two groups after treatment were evaluated. Results In this study, a total of three patients withdrew, including 40 patients in control group and 39 patients in the nape cluster needling group in the final. After treatment, the Kubota drinking water test rating of the two groups was better than that before treatment, and the nape cluster needling group was better than the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of standardized swallowing assessment (SSA) of two groups were lower than those before treatment, the scores of swallowing-quality of life (SWAL-QOL) of two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the scores of SSA of the nape cluster needling group were lower than the control group, and the scores of SWAL-QOL were higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The curative effect of the nape cluster needling group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There were no adverse reactions in both groups during treatment. Conclusion In the treatment of dysphagia after stroke, the combined effect of nape cluster needling and surface electromyography biofeedback is accurate, which can effectively improve the swallowing function and quality of life of patients with dysphagia after stroke, and with high safety.
