Effect and influence of hemorheology and safety of Methylprednisolone local injection behind the ear in patients with low frequency descending sudden deafness

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect and influence of hemorheology and safety of Methylprednisolone local injection behind the ear injection in patients with low frequency descending sudden deafness. Methods A total of 93 patients with low-frequency descending sudden deafness admitted to Huaian First Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University from November 2016 to November 2021 were selected and divided into control group (47 patients receiving Methylprednisolone intravenous infusion) and observation group (46 patients receiving Methylprednisolone local injection behind the ear) by random number table method. The course of treatment in both groups was 14 days. The auditory threshold of the two groups before and after treatment was detected and compared, and the clinical efficacy of the two groups was analyzed. The hemorheology indexes and plasma homocysteine (Hcy) levels of the two groups were detected and compared before and after treatment, and the occurrence of adverse reactions during treatment were analyzed. Results After treatment, the hearing threshold in both groups was lower than that before treatment (P＜0.05). The curative effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment, plasma viscosity, whole blood high tangential viscosity, whole blood low tangential viscosity, and Hcy levels in two groups were lower than those before treatment, and observation group was lower than control group (P＜0.05). The total incidence of adverse reactions in observation group was lower than that in control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion The Methylprednone local injection behind the ear in patients with low frequency descending sudden deafness has significant effect, which can improve the hemorheology index of patients and reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions, so it is recommended to be widely used in clinic.
