Abstract:Objective To investigate the influence of comprehensive nursing model based on evidence-based theory on complications related to invasive mechanical ventilation in premature infants. Methods A total of 80 premature infants who received invasive mechanical ventilation in Fuyang People’s Hospital, Anhui Province from January 2019 to October 2021 were selected, 35 cases in the control group received conventional nursing, and 45 cases in the study group received comprehensive nursing based on evidence-based theory, invasive mechanical ventilation indexes, blood gas indexes within 24 h after removal of the machine and the incidence of invasive mechanical ventilation-related complications were compared between the two groups; at discharge, the growth and development of the two groups were compared. Results Invasive mechanical ventilation time, total ventilation time, and offline time in the study group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05); the arterial carbon dioxide content in the study group was lower than that in the control group within 24 h after withdrawal, and the arterial oxygen partial pressure and arterial oxygen saturation were higher than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05); the complication rate of invasive mechanical ventilation in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). At the time of discharge, the body length was larger than the control group, weight was heavier than the control group and head circumference was larger than the study group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The comprehensive nursing model based on evidence-based theory can shorten the invasive mechanical ventilation time of premature infants, improve the oxygenation ability of premature infants, reduce the risk of complications, and benefit the growth and development of premature infants.
