Abstract:Objective To study the influence of akupotomye release based on the theory of tendon and ligament in the treatment of joint function in patients with femoral head necrosis. Methods A total of 76 patients with early-middle stage femoral head necrosis received hip preservation therapy in the Third Department of Bone and Joint, Wangjing Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences from August 2017 to July 2020 were collected and divided into treatment group and control group by random number table method, with 38 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with acupotomology to release the focal points of peripheral hip tendon and ligament, and massage through the theory of tendon and ligament, while the control group was treated with massage through the tendon and ligament. Both groups were treated for two weeks and underwent hip rehabilitation training for six months after treatment. The clinical efficacy was followed up three and six months after treatment, and the efficacy was evaluated by visual analog scale (VAS) score, range of hip motion, and Harris hip function score. Results The VAS scores at three and six months after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and six months after treatment was lower than three months after treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). VAS scores of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group at three and six months after treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The range of hip motion at three and six months after treatment were higher than those before treatment, and six months after treatment was higher than three months after treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The range of hip motion three and six months after treatment in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The Harris hip function scores of the treatment group were better than those of the control group at three and six months after treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Both treatments achieved significant clinical effects. The akupotomye release was superior to the massage in reducing pain and restoring hip function, which is worthy of clinical promotin.
