Abstract:Urinary retention is one of the common complications after anorectal surgery, which is easy to induce urinary system infection and affect postoperative healing and recovery of urination function. In the recovery process after anorectal surgery, different acupuncture and moxibustion treatments have the advantages of relieving perianal pain, reducing residual urine volume, coordinating detrusor muscle, and urethral sphincter, and alleviating urinary tract infection, etc. Diversified acupuncture and moxibustion treatments provide a more effective plan for the treatment of urinary retention. In this paper, the relevant clinical studies on acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of this disease in recent five years are summarized, and the commonly used methods include ordinary acupuncture therapy, electroacupuncture, ear acupuncture, characteristic moxibustion therapy, etc. At the same time, the similarities and differences of different acupuncture and moxibustion methods and the mechanism of action are compared, and relevant opinions are put forward in order to provide reference for clinical research.
