Abstract:Objective To investigate the factors affecting patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypoventilation syndrome (OSAHS). Methods Ninety patients with OSAHS admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University from December 2019 to September 2021 were selected as the observation group, and 100 cases of health checkups at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University during the same period were selected as the control group. The clinical data of the two groups were compared, and logistic regression was used to analyze the relevant factors affecting the occurrence of OSAHS. Results The differences in body mass index (BMI), history of diabetes mellitus, sleep apnea hypoventilation index, maximum hypoventilation time, maximum apnea time, minimum oxygen saturation, and sleep position were statistically significant when compared between the two groups (P<0.05). Multifactorial unconditional logistic regression analysis showed that BMI≥24 kg/m2, history of diabetes mellitus, and sleep position supine position were influential factors in the occurrence of OSAHS (OR>1, P<0.05). Conclusion BMI≥24 kg/m2, history of diabetes, and sleep position in supine position are risk factors for OSAHS and should be strengthened to further reduce the incidence of OSAHS.
