Research progress on the manifestations and intervention strategies of post intensive care syndrome-family

Abstract：The occurrence of post intensive care syndrome-family (PICS-F) will bring short and long adverse effects on the health of patients and family members, and seriously harm the physical and mental health of them. It will not only lead to prolonged hospital stay, increased costs, increased complications, and worsening of the disease, which will affect the prognosis of the patient, but also lead to decreased quality of life of the family members and limited daily function. This paper reviews PubMed, CNKI, and Wanfang Data on PICS-F, summarizes the concept, manifestation, evaluation tools, and intervention measures of PICS-F, aiming to raise the public, especially the clinical staff’s attention to this disease, and provide reference for clinical improvement of the quality of family care.
