Abstract:Objective To explore the application of holistic nursing intervention based on fast track surgery (FTS) concept in patients with lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans. Methods A total of 82 patients with lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans received from the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from November 2019 to December 2021 were selected, according to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and experimental group, with 41 cases in each group, the control group received routine rehabilitation nursing intervention, the experimental group implemented holistic nursing intervention based on FTS concept, the changes of compliance behavior before and after intervention and sleep quality 3,7,15 d after intervention of patients in the two groups were observed and compared between the two groups. Results After the intervention, the scores of reasonable diet, exercise, regular medication, and regular review in the two groups were higher than those before the intervention, and the experimental group was higher than the experimental group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05); overall analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences between groups, time points and interaction (P < 0.05); further pairwise comparison and intra-group comparison: there were statistically significant differences in Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) between the two groups at each time point (P < 0.05); comparison between groups: PSQI in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group at each time point, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The holistic nursing intervention based on FTS concept for patients with lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans has a considerable effect on strengthening patients’ compliance behavior and sleep quality.
