Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of predictive nursing combined with catheter tracking nursing on urinary tract infection and pain in elderly patients undergoing laparoscopic urology surgery. Methods A total of 90 elderly patients who underwent laparoscopic surgery in Department of Urology, Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University from October 2019 to October 2021 were selected, according to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and study group, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the study group was given predictive nursing combined with catheter tracking nursing. The incidence of urinary tract infection, nursing satisfaction, the incidence of adverse events of catheter, and the degree of pain before and after intervention were compared between the two groups at 1, 2, and 3 weeks after intervention. Results After 1, 2 and 3 weeks of intervention, the incidence of urinary system infection in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After intervention, the visual analogue scale scores of the two groups were lower than those before intervention, and the study group was lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The total incidence of adverse events in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The total satisfaction rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The implementation of predictive nursing combined with catheter tracking nursing can significantly reduce the occurrence of urinary system infection and catheter adverse events in elderly patients with laparoscopic surgery in urology, reduce postoperative pain, improve nursing satisfaction, and has high clinical promotion value.
