Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of Niuhuang Xifeng Capsules in the treatment of mechanical thrombectomy patients with acute anterior circulation cerebral infarction. Methods Eighty-four mechanical thrombectomy patients with acute anterior circulation cerebral infarction treated in Weifang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shandong Province from March to December 2021 were selected and divided into control group and experimental group according to random number table method, 42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine for 30 days after thrombectomy, the experimental group was given Niuhuang Xifeng Capsules for 30 days after treatment on the basis of the control group. National Institute of Health stroke scale (NIHSS) score, modified Rankin scale (mRS) score, traditional Chinese medicine symptom score and serum S100β protein level were compared between the two groups immediately after operation and 30 days after operation. The levels of white blood cell count (WBC), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and creatinine (Cr) before treatment and 30 days after treatment were compared between the two groups. The efficacy of the two groups was compared. Results Immediately after operation, there were no significant differences in NIHSS score, mRS score, traditional Chinese medicine symptom score, and serum S100β protein level between the two groups (P > 0.05). Thirty days after operation, NIHSS score, mRS score, traditional Chinese medicine symptom score, and serum S100β protein level of two groups were lower than those immediately after operation, and experimental group was lower than that control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Before treatment and 30 days after treatment, there were no significant differences in WBC, ALT, and Cr levels between and within the two groups (P > 0.05). The effect of experimental group was better than that of control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Niuhuang Xifeng Capsules can effectively promote the improvement of neural function defect in mechanical thrombectomy patients with acute anterior circulation cerebral infarction, and there is no obvious adverse reaction.
