Abstract:Objective To analyze the research hotspot and directions of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of thoracolumbar compression fractures based on CiteSpace software. Methods Literatures related to the treatment of thoracolumbar compression fractures with traditional Chinese medicine from January 2000 to December 2021 were included in CNKI database as the research object, CiteSpace V5.6.R4 software was used to analyze the annual number of publications, the cooperation between authors and institutions, and keywords, and to make corresponding knowledge maps. The results were analyzed and related literature was read for discussion. Results A total of 3 685 related literatures were included, involving 840 authors and 657 institutions. From 2006 to 2019, the number of documents issued had increased steadily; according to the author’ cooperation map, three research teams had been formed. Through the analysis of the cooperation map of research institutions, it was known that Gansu, Hunan and other places have formed a cooperation network, forming a regional nature, and the cooperation among institutions is relatively close. From the keyword knowledge map, we know that there were 237 keywords in total, including five highly central high-frequency keywords (≥0.10), the top five keywords were thoracolumbar compression fracture, thoracolumbar fracture, nursing, percutaneous vertebroplasty, and constipation. Osteoporosis had the highest frequency, with a total of 559 times; it had formed seven clusters of constipation, clinical efficacy, spinal implants, thoracolumbar compression fractures, bone mineral density, quality of life, and Taohong Siwu Decoction. At present, the research hotspots were pillow cushion and manual reduction, Taohong Siwu Decoction and so on. There were many studies on the treatment of its complications constipation. Conclusion There is still much room for development in the research field of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of thoracolumbar compression fractures. The degree of cooperation between the research authors and institutions is poor. At present, the research direction of traditional Chinese medicine treatment is mainly pillow cushion and manual reduction.
