Abstract:Objective To investigate the risk factors in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome of reproductive age in Wenzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Methods A total of 1 530 medical examiners of childbearing age who were examined in Wenzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2019 to February 2021 were selected for the study, and the detection rate of polycystic ovary syndrome was counted and the risk factors for the occurrence of polycystic ovary syndrome were analyzed. Results A total of 1 530 questionnaires were sent out in this survey and 1 300 were returned, with a return rate of 84.80%. The detection rate of polycystic ovary syndrome in 1 300 persons of reproductive age was 38.46%. Univariate analysis showed that the occurrence of polycystic ovary syndrome in reproductive age was associated with age, body mass index, family history of hypertension, family history of obesity, time taken from menarche to regular menstruation, hirsutism, and acne, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that age 18 -< 26 years, body mass index ≥25 kg/m2, family history of hypertension, family history of obesity, time taken from menarche to regular menstruation >2 years, hirsute F-G ≥6 points, and acne >10 were risk factors for the formation of polycystic ovary syndrome of the reproductive age (OR > 1, P < 0.05). Conclusion The development of polycystic ovary syndrome in reproductive age is mainly influenced by age, body mass index, family history of hypertension, hirsutism, family history of obesity, time taken from menarche to regular menstruation, acne, and other factors. Effective prevention of risk factors can reduce the occurrence of polycystic ovary syndrome.
