Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of interesting health education on the improvement of negative emotions and clinical symptoms in children with allergic purpura. Methods Eighty-six cases of children with allergic purpura admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University from January 2018 to March 2021 were selected as study subjects and they were divided into control and observation groups of 43 cases each by the random number table method. Both groups performed conventional nursing interventions, while the observation group implemented interesting health education on the basis of the control group. The clinical symptoms improvement effect, positive and negative affective scale (PANAS), and compliance behavior of the children in both groups were compared. Results The clinical symptoms of purpura, blood in stool, abdominal pain, arthralgia, and gastrointestinal bleeding disappeared time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After the intervention, the negative emotion scores on the PANAS scale in both groups were lower than those before the intervention, while the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05); after the intervention, there was no statistically significant difference in the comparison of positive emotions between and within the two groups (P > 0.05). The observation group had a higher rate of compliance with medical diet, good habits, avoidance of allergen exposure, and timely review behavior than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Interesting health education has a positive effect on the improvement of negative emotions and clinical symptoms in children with allergic purpura, and can enhance their compliance behavior.
